Wednesday 13 March 2024 Anne Frank Trust Voices for Equality Workshop In the Anne Frank Trusts Voices for Equality two day workshop, a group of students from Y7, 9 and 10 learnt about the Holocaust from the uniquely inspiring life and work of Anne Frank using readings and video extracts from her diary. They explored contemporary and historic forms of prejudice and discrimination, reflecting on the dangers if left unchallenged. Each student then prepared a piece of peer education to share with their school community on a form of discrimination that they would like to challenge.

Tuesday 6 February 2024 Sports Update On Tuesday, 15 year 7 students travelled to Carlton Keighley for a football match. Many of them made their debut for the school team and performed exceptionally well. The Bingley boys convincingly beat their opponents, controlling the game from the start, with the final score ending 8-1, including three goals from Will G. Will Gr was awarded Player of the Match for his fantastic hat-trick.Team sheet: Will G, Freddie S, Adam M, James E, Huzayl K, Abaan W, Amaan H, Majed M, Kais R, Charlie H, Abaan R, Jack A-C, Joshua B-M, George H and Hasnain N.The Year 8 football team played two games this week. In the first match against South Craven on Wednesday, the weather took a turn for the worse as soon as the game started, with heavy rain and strong winds. Despite the challenging conditions resembling scenes from the Wizard of Oz, both teams managed a 1-1 draw, with goals scored in each half. Tuesday 12 December 2023 Send My Friend Parliamentary Action Day On the 13 and 14th October, Our two Send My Friend Champions Isabelle and Megan, along with Miss Howard and Mrs Bairstow attended the Parliamentary Action Day organised by Send My Friend to School. On Monday 13th November, the champions took part in a preparation session for the action day. Then on 14th November they spent the day in the Houses of Parliament and engaged in meetings with MPs and Ministers, as well as having a tour of Parliament. Megan and Isabelle were one of a few Champions selected to visit Number 10 Downing Street to hand in a letter to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak about the current Education in Emergencies campaign.

Wednesday 6 December 2023 Yr 8 Netball Year 8 had 2 netball matches against Beckfoot yesterday, unfortunately the girls lost both matches but they were all amazing, enjoyed themselves and all gave 100% effort which is all we asked for!

Wednesday 6 December 2023 Commiseration for the year 8 team The match truly lived up to the occasion – it was an absolute spectacle! Both teams brought their A-game, creating a real showdown with a high-level spirit on the field.We kicked off as the stronger of the two teams, dominating early proceedings, pressuring Brooksbank, and creating promising opportunities. It was clear from the first minute that the boys were up for it. Midway through the first half, our captain, Zach H, showcased his prowess by breaking through the defense and winning a penalty, which he coolly converted to secure the lead. Moments later, Zach struck a free kick that rattled the post, but despite our first-half dominance, we couldn't extend our advantage.The dynamics shifted in the second half as Brooksbank found their rhythm, gradually imposing themselves. We fought hard to prevent them from scoring, but they managed to equalise with two minutes left – a defensive lapse in concentration allowed Brooksbank's striker to go around the goalkeeper and net the
