Mentoring

Mentoring for emotional or mental health is supporting a person to examine their thoughts and beliefs which cause emotional distress.

These mentoring activities are used as a conversation starter and guide to examine damaging Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANT Thoughts)

Below are some mentoring resources which are based in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and help to manage problems by changing the way the mentee feels, thinks and behaves. It enables the mentee to break down overwhelming problems into ‘manageable chunks’ and also find new ways of dealing with worries through seeing problems through a different lens.
