As discussed at the Sixth Form Open Evening, we would like to invite Parents/Guardians/Carers for Year 11 students into school for a Post 18 Options talk and question session on Thursday 24th November.

The event would:

 -  introduce you as parents to the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) and explain the timeline regarding your child’s applications

 -  introduce you to Careers/Apprenticeship alternatives and who to contact for help in this area

 -  introduce you to Unifrog, the best platform used to seek out Post 18 options

 -  introduce you to the world of UCAS points and the complexities of University offers

 -  explain how student monitoring works in Sixth Form including information on MEGs (Minimum Expected Grades), Current Grades and Predictions

 -  alert you to early deadlines, facilitating subjects and how applications to university can be strengthened

Plus there will be an informal chance to speak to Sixth Form staff about the above, or further application queries.

The evening will start at 6pm in N6, the main school hall, and finish by approximately 7pm.

We look forward to seeing you then.
