Bingley Grammar School

Music

In the music department at Bingley Grammar School we follow a highly practical approach to lessons.

Music is a universal language that rises above boundaries using a unique form of communication to help pupils express what they think and feel. Pupils are taught a range of engaging and enjoyable topics to create enthusiastic learners and promote a love of music.

Assessment

At Key Stage 3 pupils are assessed through 3 key PLCs: Listening, Performing and Composing.

Enrichment

All pupils from all years are encouraged to be part of the school music ‘When I grow up’, we rehearse for this on alternate Monday’s and every Tuesday.
