SEND Administration & Data Officer

Overview

We are looking to fill the following permanent post to start as soon as possible:

SEND Administrator & Data Officer 

37 hours per week, term time + two weeks (40 weeks per year)
Mon - Thurs 8.00am to 4.00pm, Fri 8.00am to 3.30pm
Salary level SCP 12-17 (FTE £28,598 - £31,022), Actual salary (£25,337 - £27,485)

The successful candidate will work closely with our SENCo and school staff to provide efficient administrative support to the SEN department.

The role and responsibilities include:

  • Provide high‑quality administrative support and data management to the Special Educational Needs (SEN) team.
  • Providing secretarial support to the SENCo and surrounding Team
  • Support the implementation of the school’s SEN strategy and related policies.
  • Creating, formatting, and distributing documents EHCPs, Annual Reviews, referrals, and statutory SEN documentation
  • Maintain and update SEN and SEND pupil records
  • Managing office communications, including phone, email, and visitor enquiries
  • Support the SENCo with SEND compliance and record-keeping
  •  Liaise with parents, carers, local authorities, and external agencies
  •  Coordinate Inclusion meetings, reviews, and appointments
  •  Ensure all SEN documentation is accurate, confidential and compliant
  •  Support SEND data tracking, reporting, and audits

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum standard of GCSE (grade 9-4/A*-C) or equivalent, in English and Maths
  • Previous successful experience in an administrative role 
  • Experience of work requiring accuracy, attention to detail and working to deadlines 
  • Ability to arrange and manage diary, meetings produce agendas and minutes to ensure an efficient service 
  • The ability to work well both individually and as part of a team
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong ICT skills and Arbor proficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Salary & Benefits

Salary from £25337 to £27485 per year
