Yr 10 Geography Field work

As part of the AQA GCSE Geography course, carrying out fieldwork and collecting primary data is a compulsory element of the specification. This information will be used to write up as a geographical investigation and will be examined on in the Unit 3: Geographical Applications exam worth (30% of the overall grade).  Students need to study both physical and human Geography.

For the human element students walked into Bingley during a Geography lesson to collect some environmental quality data.  For the physical element, we undertook some river related fieldwork.  Students worked in small groups on the Red Beck stream near Shipley measuring stream characteristics.
