Of course, due to Covid-19, things are a little different this year!
Where we would normally invite you to a Guidance Evening with the chance to hear talks about the application process from Sixth Form directors, discuss courses with our Subject Teachers and see our facilities in person, we must now proceed with your safety in mind.
Therefore, you will find on this page details of the wide range of courses we have on offer and the pathways students can take to achieve their aspirations.
Also, there is a short film outlining clearly how to complete the application process if you are already a Bingley Grammar School student, as well as if you are applying as an external student.
Additionally, there is information about when important events occur during your two-year journey with us.
Finally, you obviously need to know our expectations of you, so these details are included here too.
Students who have a conditional offer to study in the sixth form have received an email outlining the enrolment process. The main enrolment sessions will take place on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 August, with some catch-up sessions taking place during the week beginning 16 August.
Current BGS students who would like to make a late application to study in the sixth form should email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
Minimum entry requirements for the Sixth Form are five GCSEs, or equivalent, at grade 4 or above, from a range of subjects including English Language and Mathematics. However, most A level courses also require subject specific entry requirements, full details of which can be found in the sixth form section of the school website.
Please note that the Sixth Form Office will be closed for the school holiday from Thursday 29 July to Monday 9 August, and from Monday 23 August to Thursday 2 September.
Please email any enquiries to email@example.com and these will be dealt with as soon as possible.
For any additional information please contact the Sixth Form Office – 01274 807753 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are unsuccessful with your application to our Sixth Form you may contact our Appeals Coordinator at:
Your information will be passed over to the Appeals Committee who will consider whether or not to uphold the case.
