Attendance - Illness and Absence

Message for families celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr

We have been advised that the likely date for Eid-ul-Fitr will be 12/13 May 2021. In line with guidance to schools on attendance, the school will authorise up to two day’s absence for Eid-Ul-Fitr for religious observance. If your child is going to be absent for this religious observation please email: attendance@bingleygrammar.org to confirm when they will not be in school or ring 01274 807701 where you can leave a message with the attendance team.

We would like to take this opportunity to say 'Eid Mubarak' to those students and their families who will be observing Eid-ul-Fitr.

Appointments

Wherever possible can medical/dental and other appointments be arranged out of school hours. Where this is not possible, please can students come to school before the appointment, sign out and return to school after their appointment.

Medical

The School has a full time workplace first aider on site. If a student is unwell, parents will be contacted for permission to send the child home. In more serious cases, or where an injury requires further investigation, the first aider will ask parents to take the child to hospital. In an emergency, the first aider will send directly for an ambulance and contact parents immediately.
