Amazing Castles created by Year 7
Yr 7 have just completed a scheme of work on William the Conqueror and how he controlled England after the Battle of Hastings. One method used by William was castles, and students have learnt about Motte and Bailey castles and the introduction of stone castles. For homework, students were asked to build their own medieval castle and Mrs Cartledge was amazed by the amount of effort and creativity involved.
Students were given the freedom to make their castles out of anything they wanted and there were some fantastic results - their were lots of creative ideas with edible castles, lego castles, castles with lighting and one was even surrounded by Paranha infested waters!
Well done to all Mrs Cartledge's History class - what an amazing effort.< Back to all news stories
