Year 12 Sport and Physical Activity Walk
Last Wednesday (13 June) our Year 12 Sport and Physical Activity students enjoyed a day in the Yorkshire Dales.
The sixth formers were accompanied by Mr McGregor, Mr Swann and one of our Governors Mr Taylor, as they climbed Pen-y-Ghent.
This was part of the practical element of the course where students have to undertake outdoor and adventurous activities safely, having assessed the risks to all participants.
The day involved a 6.6mile hike and some rock scrambling sections nearer the top. All the students tackled the challenge well despite some finding the experience significantly out of their comfort zones!
We are extremely proud of the group and would like to say a massive well done to all of them.< Back to all news stories
