Yr 12 Titration Experiment
This week our Year 12 Applied Scientists have been carrying out their practical assignment.
They have been asked to come up with a method to determine the concentration of a solution of sodium hydroxide. They have had to calibrate their equipment, confirm the concentration of their acid and carry out a titration to determine the concentration of the sodium hydroxide. This analytical technique is widely used in the food industry to allow manufacturers to determine the amount of salt, sugar or vitamins in food products.
