Year 11 History Trip
On Tuesday 5th March the Year 11 History students travelled to Leeds on the train to watch an educational play about Queen Elizabeth I at the Leeds City Varieties.
The play, The Inquisition of Queen Elizabeth I, is designed to help students improve their performance in the GCSE History examinations. It is focused on the British depth studies for the 9-1 specifications.
The play was in four parts and each part lead into a workshop session that looked at how the events of the play related to the GCSE course, and offered advice to students about ways of improving their examination performance. The workshop presenters got students to mark answers to a set of questions covering each of the assessment objectives, as if they were examiners in a moderation meeting.
