RFU Core Values Award

On Tuesday morning our Yr 7, Yr 8, Yr 9 and Yr 10 rugby teams were visited by Hamish Pratt, the RFU's Community Rugby Development Officer.

Hamish's visit was to present our rugby teams with an award from the White Rose England Final Day last month.

The boys won the Core Values Schools Award by demonstrating these core values during their matches on the day and throughout the season. The White Rose region includes 82 schools so it is a real honour to be singled out for this award.

According to the England Rugby website,
"Rugby’s values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship are what makes the game special for those who enjoy the environment and culture they create. They define the game and define England Rugby."

Hamish quizzed the teams asking them to name the five core values which they listed immediately. We are immensely proud of this achievement - well done to all involved.
