Some of our House Competitions may have been postponed temporarily due to the weather this term but that has not dampened the team spirit shown by Years 7, 8 and 9.
The Yr 7, 8 and 9 girls took part in our dodgeball house competitions.
Fifty four Yr 8 students took part with Milner coming first, Oldfield second, Sunderland third and Wooller fourth.
And twenty six Yr 7 girls took part with Sunderland coming first, Wooller second, Oldfield third and Milner fourth.
The boys had to wait for their rugby matches due to frozen pitches but this week has seem lots of great Rugby being played after school.
24 Yr 7 boys took part in the rugby house competition. A huge well done to the Wooller team who managed to get 12 players on the night. The tournament went ahead and Wooller were crowned the champions with Milner and Oldfield coming 2nd & 3rd.
In excess of 40 players took part in the Yr 8 rugby competition with Milner being crowned the champions. Oldfield came second, Sunderland third and Wooler fourth - well done to all involved.
The Yr 9 boys concluded the second round of sporting house competitions with a superb battle on the rugby pitches. 30+ boys were involved and the action was fast and furious.
Wooller took the victory combining some strong, powerful performances with some excellent passing at times. Sunderland were second, Milner battled to third place despite only have 5 players. Oldfield finished fourth despite a great final game performance demonstrating aggression and commitment.
Well done to all those students who took part, it really is great to see so many of you joining in and enjoying competing for your Houses.
