"Food is intrinsic to Jewish ritual, life and culture around the world. Jewish food has also been shaped by the diverse experiences of the Jewish diaspora across the world, and by the countries, they lived in. Jewish culture includes a wide range of symbolic foods: latkes at Hanukkah, hamantaschen at Purim, charoset at Passover, and challah on Shabbat."
