Bradford Hate Crime Alliance Assemblies

On Wednesday 1st May, we welcomed Kate, Mohammed and Pat from the Bradford Hate Crime Alliance (BHCA) to talk to students in Years 7-10.

The team from BHCA explained the definition of hate crime and how people's lack of understanding of different religions, race, sexuality or other perceived differences can lead to fear, then to hate and sometimes to violence.

The BHCA's aim is to tackle hate crime by supporting victims but also prevent hate crime by promoting awareness of the effects of hate crime and the many forms it comes in.

We would like to thank Kate, Mohammed and Pat for reminding our students to treat everyone with mutual respect, kindness and tolerance regardless of race, religion, sexuality or other perceived differences.
