East Morton Primary Enterprise Workshop
This week we have been joined on Monday and Wednesday morning by Year 5 children from East Morton Primary School.
The children have been making some colourful key holders as part of their school's Enterprise Week.
Mr Lockwood has enjoyed teaching the two groups many new skills in the workshop, as well as lots of safety rules, including:
- using templates to mark out shapes
- sawing wood into shapes
- using the sanding machine
- sanding by hand
- drilling holes on the pillar drill
- bending plastic using the strip heater
- using glue guns
All the children did a great job and Mr Lockwood said
"They were lovely to teach and fast learners - some of them managed to make two of the key holders in the time I planned to make just one!"
The groups will be selling the key holders at their enterprise event on Friday and we think they did such a great job they are bound to sell out!< Back to all news stories
