Bingley Grammar School

Curriculum Update

Mr Weston has sent an email to all parent/carers regarding the timetable changes which will begin on Monday.

Dear Parent/Carer,

Next week we will be starting our new timetable. We have made some changes to improve things for our students whilst maintaining our COVID precautions. The new timetable has been designed to allow the following:

  • The use of specialist rooms (science, computing etc.) for Years 10 and 11
  • Improved setting for Years 10 and 11
  • Allow Year 9 access to computer rooms
  • Introduce split lessons 1a+1b and 4a + 4b for Years 7-9 to help with the long periods and extend the curriculum
  • Maintain the longer periods for Years 10-13

To do this we have carefully looked at student movement and bubbles around the school to ensure that we are continuing to comply with our risk assessment.

The students have made an excellent return to school and because of their outstanding conduct, we are able to make these improvements to the timetable.

All students have been given their new timetables today.

Thank you for your continued support,
Mr Weston
Headteacher
