Apple Swan and Crudité Creature Challenge Winners

At the end of May Mrs Wilkinson and the Food Science department set a competition for our Year 7 students to practice the skills they had covered in their lessons.

Year 7 have been learning about knife skills so they were set a practical challenge over the holidays. Students were asked to make (with parents' permission and supervision) a crudité creature or apple swan.

Mrs Wilkinson was really impressed by the number of entries and the effort put in,

"Thanks to all that entered, the entries were amazing!"

The winners of the Knife Skills Crunchy Crudité Challenge and Apple Swan Challenge are as follows:

Overall Winner - Pankti Trivedi

Runner up - Evie Fox

Runner up - Rebecca Dunn-Birch

Because the judges were so impressed by many of the entries they decided to select a further 6 students to receive smaller prizes for their efforts:

Abigail Cope, Kya Martin, Ahmad Mahmood, Issac Milne, Larna Brook and Josie Anderson.

Mrs Wilkinson said,

"All prizes will be with our winners shortly - well done for entering and taking part!"
