Team GB Gymnast
Amelia has been a member of Ilkley Gym Club since age 8.
In December 2018, Amelia was invited to take part in the world's largest gymnastics non competitive event, the 16th World Gymnaestrada, in Dornbirn, Austria for 8 days, representing Team GB.
Amelia and her team performed their routine "seasons" six times in different venues in Austria. The team were also chosen to perform a routine with Team Australia, "the Stone Age". The routine was learnt in less than a month and is Amelia's favourite!
It was a super-packed week travelling around, rehearsing, performing, watching and meeting other gymnasts from around the globe, exchanging t shirts along the way. Amelia exchanged one of her Team GB t shirts with a Canadian gymnast and met gymnasts from Switzerland, Australia, USA, Thailand, Germany, Japan and Brazil.
Well done Amelia!

Maddison wants to be a Pediatrician when she grows up but wanted to help children diagnosed with critical illnesses now. The Make a Wish Foundation arranges experiences described as "wishes" for seriously ill children. We look forward to seeing and supporting Maddison in her future efforts.
