Parent Focus Group

You may have heard of the Parent Focus Group before, but do you know what it actually does?

"The principle aim of the Parent Focus Group is to enhance children's well-being and educational success through strong parental involvement. We seek to empower parents to represent the interests of their children."

The Parent Focus Group is a group run for you by parents/carers of students who attend Bingley Grammar School. The idea of the group is to provide a forum for parents to meet each other, discuss things, ask questions and ask for certain topics to be focused upon with key members of staff being invited to lead on a topic as needed. All parents/carers and staff members are automatically members of the PFG and minutes are shared with all members.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the group did an element of fundraising. The group is now focusing on parental voice, involvement and consultation.

All parents/carers are welcome and the group is seeking new members as the current Chair and Treasurer are coming to the end of their term and there is a vacancy for a Vice-Chair.

If you wish to join us, please come along to a meeting. The future meeting dates for 2022/23 academic year are:

An email is sent to all parents/carers prior to the meeting where you are asked to email the PFG for a link to the online meeting. The online meeting platform will be Google Meet.

"The Parent Focus Group welcomes contributions from all members of the school community: Parents, Carers, Governors, Staff and Students. We value input from as broad a range of viewpoints and experiences as possible,so contributions at meetings, by email or by letter to school are always welcome."
